Didn’t know this manifesto existed… Thanks to Fat Heffalump for my enlightenment.
Apart from Roseanne, Ricky Lake was the only other fat person on TV in my teens and I loved that. Saw Cry Baby about 5 times in a row! Also liked that Cry Baby had people in it that were not just the standard beauty… instead uniquely beautiful. Then I discovered Hairspray… a fat girl dancing… I was like wow! A big thank you to John Waters.
